Responsibilities / Tasks
Support project execution teams by providing specialized Manufacturing Execution System (MES) expertise across complex projects, including legacy systems, hybrid architectures, and new digital technologies.
Implement, integrate, and commission GEA Codex MES modules and third‑party MES solutions, depending on customer and project requirements.
Contribute to overall project delivery quality and ensure alignment with GEA automation and digitalization strategies.
Execute MES implementations using GEA Codex Manufacturing Execution System and commercial MES platforms according to customer specifications.
Install, configure, validate, and commission MES software to ensure reliable industrial performance.
Develop integration with automation layers (PLC / SCADA), including legacy systems and multi‑vendor architectures.
Ensure MES solutions comply with: Customer specifications Functional descriptions Cybersecurity requirements GEA automation & digital standards
Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues during project execution.
Provide support during commissioning of MES-connected systems.
Support complex or non-standard projects, providing specialized MES technical insight.
Act as a technical reference on MES topics for challenging architectures, new technologies, and deviations from standard solutions.
Collaborate closely with Automation Engineers, MES Architects, Product Teams, and wider project stakeholders.
Provide structured feedback to improve: MES roadmap Product evolution Internal best practices
