1. Project Planning & Coordination
- Lead and manage all telecom engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning activities for the project.
- Develop telecom project schedules, resource plans, risk assessments, and interface management plans.
- Coordinate with civil, signalling, rolling stock, PSD, AFC, and systems integration teams to ensure telecom requirements are met.
2. Telecom System Design & Review
- Review and validate detailed design documents, drawings, and technical submissions from contractors and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with railway/metro telecom standards, specifications, and statutory requirements.
- Provide oversight and expertise in DTS, CCTV, WDCS, and other telecom subsystems (PA, telephone system, fiber networks, radio communication)
3. Installation, Testing & Commissioning
- Supervise installation activities to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and engineering guidelines.
- Review FAT/SAT procedures and participate in testing and commissioning of telecom systems.
- Manage integration testing with other subsystems and ensure timely resolution of interface issues.
4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with OEMs, EPC contractors, system integrators, and project management consultants.
- Manage vendor performance and ensure equipment supply and project execution meet contractual obligations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to subcontractors onsite.
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Oversee preparation of method statements, test procedures, O&M manuals, as-built documentation, and handover packages.
- Ensure compliance with QHSE policies and project specifications.
- Support audits, inspections, and approval processes with authorities and clients.
6. Operations Support
- Provide technical input during trial runs, system validation, and handover to operations.
- Support RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety) and cybersecurity requirements for telecom systems.
