This team partners closely with business teams to drive simplification and deliver exceptional customer outcomes in Asia and the Middle East region which covers 26 markets, 600+ offices and branches, and more than 140,000 employees. By strengthening our control environment and enhancing risk management, we drive operational excellence and enable the bank to deliver focused and sustainable growth in this super-region. As SVP Strategic Programmes and Innovation, you will play a pivotal role in the execution / delivery of strategic initiatives and digital innovation to enable the bank to meet its business objectives .
Responsibilities:
- To plan, coordinate, and execute innovation, automation and simplification projects across the bank - from inception (idea generation), through to design, development, tracking and embedding.
- To lead AI strategy, development and rollout for HBID, working with businesses and functions to identify AI capabilities for local acceleration and deployment.
- To continuously enhance AI governance structures that prioritize transparency, accountability and fairness while supporting innovation in financial services in line with the issuance of Indonesia’s national AI framework and OJK guidance.
- To be seen as an industry expert in innovation and AI – remaining abreast of local regulation, feeding in recommendations/views to the regulator when requested, and connecting with local and international SMEs through conferences etc.
- To drive an innovation culture across the bank, leveraging comms, campaigns, SparX, etc.
- To project manage strategic entity level initiatives (e.g. Toba, AIDA enhancement to support data governance architecture and commercialization, Operational Resilience)
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Visionary leadership – ability to inspire innovation
- Leadership experience with proven track record in digital transformation, innovation, and change management / strategy
- Experience in managing large, cross – functional programs / project and leading enterprise – wide initiatives with multi – year roadmaps
- Strong governance, risk management, budget management, and stakeholder alignment experience
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and modern architectures, AI / automation technologies, data analytics and digital platforms.

- Customer – centric thinking, understanding user journeys and market needs
