Junior Estimator

MAIN DUTIES

• Reading RFQ from Client, being able to understand and mapping the points in the RFQ.
• Perform Material Take Off (MTO review) from tender and IFC drawings.
• Prepare cost estimation breakdown (material, manpower, equipment, subcontract).
• Support preparation of BOQ and commercial submission documents.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Project, Production teams etc.
• Conduct material price benchmarking and vendor quotation review.
• Assist in technical and commercial clarification during tender stage.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma 3 in mechanical / marine / civil / industrial engineering.
• Fresh graduate or 1 - 5 years’ experience in:
  • Estimating 
  • Quantity Surveyor / Cost control 
  • Project Engineer.
  • Mechanical Engineer.
  • Planner.
  • Project fabrication. 
• Able to read structural & fabrication drawings.
• Strong proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Office package i.e Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, Ms. Power Point, Ms. Project Etc.
  • AutoCad.
• Basic understanding of fabrication process and material take-off.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• English proficiency (written & spoken).

PREFERRED

• Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineer, Drafter, fabrication yard in Marine or Oil and gas.
• Familiar with ASME, NORSOK / API / DNV standards etc.
• Knowledge of heavy steel structure projects.
• Familiar with ERP system (SAP / Oracle).
