Job summary:
Provides professional HR advice, guidance and operational support at Philips manufacturing site in Batam, Indonesia. The role is part of the global People function and partners closely with the local People leaders, focusing on delivering consistent, high-quality HR services across core people processes, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, case management, and compliance with local labor laws and organizational policies. The role requires strong hands-on execution, sound judgment, and effective collaboration within established People frameworks.

Your role:

• Support the execution of core people processes at site level, including staffing administration, performance cycles, engagement activities, and compensation and benefits processes, in close collaboration with People Leader Partners.

• Provide support on employee relations topics, such as absence and sick leave, disciplinary and grievance cases, performance improvement plans, and investigations.

• Ensure consistent, fair, and timely case handling in line with local labor laws, internal policies, and best practices and collaborate with relevant stakeholders, to support compliant and constructive outcomes.

• Support engagement initiatives and assist People Leaders in understanding and acting on employee feedback.

• Contribute to change activities by providing people-related guidance and ensuring compliance with policies and fair treatment of employees.​

You're the right fit if:

• Bachelor's degree in People Management, Change Management, HR processes or equivalent (Bachelor of Law is preferred). Combined with strong expertise in employee and labor relations, including hands‑on application of labor law, and internal policies. Preferably in a multinational environment.

• Effective at coaching and influencing leaders without formal authority, navigating complex and sensitive people topics with confidence, integrity, and sound judgment.

• Business acumen with hands‑on execution, applying People frameworks and policies in a practical and consistent way at site level.

• A clear and credible communicator, able to build trust with stakeholders in a regulated and fast‑paced operational environment and work autonomously, manage complexity and ambiguity well, and collaborate effectively within a global People organization.
