Application & Proposals Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer inquiries, specifications, and technical requirements to support bid and project execution
• Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals for pump packages and related systems
• Act as technical focal point for RFQs, coordinating with customers, vendors, and internal teams
• Engage with customers to understand needs and support solution development
• Support technical discussions, bid clarifications, and proposal reviews
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams on package development
• Manage multiple bids and ensure timely submission
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, API, ASME, etc.) and project requirements
• Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks
• Support handover from proposal stage to project execution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in applications engineering, proposals, or technical sales (rotating equipment/pump systems)
• Strong understanding of pump systems and rotating equipment
• Experience in preparing techno-commercial proposals within Oil & Gas / Energy industry
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in English (written and spoken)

Preferred

• Experience with API / ISO / ASME standards
• Exposure to ASEAN or international markets
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, JDE, SAP)
