This position will contribute to support Legal & Governance Manager in terms of contract management which includes but not limited to contract drafting, contract review, contract maintenance. He/she will also provide support in managing the contract compliance side, whether it is mandatory or voluntary to maintain the organisation’s accountability in both internal and external context. This position is also expected to actively be involved in building the culture of trust and collaboration at SC IDN.
Role Purpose
To support Legal & Governance Manager in terms of contract management which includes but not limited to contract drafting, contract review, contract maintenance. He/she will also provide support in managing the contract compliance side, whether it is mandatory or voluntary to maintain the organisation’s accountability in both internal and external context.
What you will do:
Contract Management
- Ensure the implementation of Contract Management System in the organization according to the agreed template and SLA/TOR/SOD.
- Perform revision on all the current contracts and related legal documents. Propose contract addendum, if necessary, with sound legal grounds.
- Perform contract review (and other contract-related brief, proofreading, research, translation) requested by Staff that is according to general direction of the organization.
- Report to the Legal Manager and take appropriate action when necessary.

- Ensure all contract dissemination, administration, and Sign-off process is done properly.
Contract Compliance
- Perform the mandatory and voluntary compliance born out of active contract obligation.
- Facilitate the fulfilment of mandatory and voluntary compliance from external party.
- Track, monitor and report on contract termination, expiration, and renewal. Remind the responsible party and propose legal advice on contract addendum if deemed necessary.
Professional Executive and Administrative Services
- Assist in Donor, Partner, and Government engagement phase when needed (attend meeting with Donors, Partners, Government, etc.) to provide legal advice according to general direction of the organisation.
- Help develop and maintain effective administrative systems for better organization legal and governance.
- Provide administrative, produce, and send general correspondence on behalf of Legal Manager.
- Other duties as required and assigned by the Legal Manager that are still within the general scope of this role.
Professional Executive and Administrative Support
- Participate in related meetings when required, providing legal insights in accordance with the organization's general direction.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining effective administrative systems to enhance Legal & Governance Unit processes.
- Carry out other tasks as assigned by the Legal & Governance Manager, within the scope of this role.
What We need from You:
Essential
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a legal department or similar role, with hands-on involvement in contract handling, legal documentation, and compliance.
- Strong skills in contract drafting and contract review.
- Solid understanding of contract and commercial law, including both common law and civil law frameworks. Always up to date with the recent global development of the law.
- Excellent command of Legal English is essential.
- Proven experience in communicating and collaborating with English-speaking counterparts.
- Well-versed in general compliance procedures and contract-related reporting requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong team player with the ability to coordinate cross-functional efforts and hold senior team members accountable for deliverables.
- Adaptable, flexible, and capable of managing workload in a dynamic environment.
- Customer-focused, with a supportive and solution-oriented approach.
- Able to remain composed and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Strong alignment with Save the Children’s mission, vision, and values.
Desirable
- Practical knowledge of contract law and experience in resolving contract-related disputes.
- Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Experience working in Nonprofits/NGO sector with international partners or clients.
